Adult Bible Class - “Divided Kingdom”

January 9-February 27: The Divided Kingdom is probably one of the most familiar in our readings (especially at Christmas and Easter!), yet perhaps the least known as to who was prophesying when! The study will take a closer look at what lead up to Israel splitting into the Northern and Southern Kingdoms. This will delve into a bit of history, politics, and religious factors that came together in that time. Interspersed is some of the grand masters art work, classic music compositions, all within a chronological look through the prophets and the kings. Finally, this class will also address how the Divided Kingdom applies to us today!
Taught by Dave Vallado |  in the Staff Lounge.

Adult Bible Class - “The Parables of Jesus”

January 9 - February 27: One of the main characteristics that Jesus was known for was being a great teacher. He used Parables to teach us how to live our everyday lives as His disciples. Please bring your Bibles and be ready to get a deeper view of life in the “Kingdom of God.” This 8 week class will be led by Spencer Peregoy and will meet in the kitchen at 9:30 am on Sundays.
Taught by Spencer Peregoy  in the Kitchen.

Family of Christ Kids

With God (Wonder), With Themselves (Discovery), With Others (Passion)
Sunday mornings will focus on kids age 0 through grade 4, and here is the breakdown:
Children 0-3 are invited to have some free play time in the Nursery with our great Nursery staff! Preschool and Kindergarten will explore the rethink Group Orange Curriculum called First Look. We will focus on three basic truths: God made me; God loves me; Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Grade 1-4 will explore the rethink Group Orange Curriculum called 252 Kids. 252 Kids focuses on 3 truths: I need to make the wise choice; I can trust God no matter what; I should treat others the way I want to be treated. These truths are based on Luke 2:52 “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”
SUNDAY NIGHTS - Grade 5th and 6th (which we are calling Club 56.) We will start with dinner (parents watch for info about this) at 5pm with the older kids and then break out into our room and focus on our lesson along with some games. Club 56 will use the PreTeen section of the 252 Kids Curriculum. So we will also focus on the same truths: I need to make the wise choice, I can trust God no matter what, I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
The Orange Curriculum focuses on 3 relationships: With God (Wonder),
With Themselves (Discovery), With Others (Passion). This is based off Matthew 22.
Taught by Katie Morgan |  & Volunteers
in Youth Rooms 1 & 2 - northwest wing.
