Upcoming Outreach Opportunities

Welcome Babies Drive in Support of Life Network //
October 4-18
This drive is a congregation-wide opportunity to collect baby items for Life Network's pregnancy center in Colorado Springs. Over the past year, this wonderful organization has saved over 259 babies, inspired 86 decisions for Christ, and influenced 89% of their ultrasound patients to choose life! We'll have a table available in the Worship Center for you to drop off donations. Please visit Life Network's webpage for the list of needed items. Thank you so much for supporting this important ministry!

Fall Festival // October 24 from 3-5:30 pm
Family of Christ is hosting a modified version of our Fall Festival with the help of the Outreach Team! This event provides the opportunity for kiddos to "trick or treat" and participate in other fun activities around Halloween. Our Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 24 from 3-5:30 pm. (If the weather is inclement, the event will be moved to October 31.) We will absolutely follow all CDC recommendations for health and safety, so the event may look a little different than in past years. We are looking for volunteers to assist with the following:
  • Trunk or Treat - we hope to find 35 families to pass out candy from the trunks of their cars. Individually wrapped candy will be provided by FOC and purchased/collected in advance so it can be packed safely.
  • Volunteers to help with set up, clean up, and supervising/running activities.
  • Volunteers to provide assistance with managing the timing and flow of event attendees.
If you are interested in helping with the Fall Festival, please contact the Church Office - .

Do you have a green thumb or need someone with a green thumb?
The Men’s Ministry has several men who are willing to help those who need it with yard work/gardening, especially as we prepare for winter. If you are interested in helping OR if you know of someone who needs help, please reach out to Marlene Schulze - .

Senior Notecard Project
We will be sending encouraging notecards to residents at Bethesda assisted living facility. As you may know, many residents at assisted living facilities have been unable to either leave their facilities or receive visitors since March. Many are feeling very isolated and alone – and would really appreciate receiving cards and notes in the mail. If you’re interested in helping write cards, please contact Julie Curtiss or NancyJo Houk.

Ronald McDonald House Meal Preparation
Ronald McDonald House has reopened and will be seeking volunteers to assist with meal preparation for the residents. More to come shortly ….

As always, if you have questions, need more information, or have ideas for additional Outreach Opportunities, please contact our Outreach Team co-leads, Julie Curtiss -  or NancyJo Houk - .
