Junior High Service Week

Junior High Service Week
Monday, June 18, 2018 - Friday, June 22, 2018

WHAT IS JUNIOR HIGH SERVICE WEEK?

This week our Junior High students will once again embark on a week of serving others throughout the Colorado Springs, Denver and Boulder areas!

We're working with various ministries and outreaches such as Lutheran Valley Retreat, Orphan Grain Train, Imagine! Disabled Adult Programming, Purple Door Coffee, Liberty Heights Nursing Home, The Table at Bethlehem Lutheran, and more!

Junior High Service Week is a great opportunity for our students to practice and learn how to serve others. Throughout the week, these students will encounter a myriad of hands-on experiences where they will be challenged and blessed by being the hands and feet of Christ.

Students will meet at Family of Christ each morning and then travel in vans to the different locations where they will be serving.  They will return each day in the late afternoon. On Thursday evening, they will be at ‘The Table’ in Arvada serving dinner to the homeless.  They will arrive home later that evening.

Friday is designated as a fun day! The students will vote for a fun activity for the day.

More details to come regarding times, locations, and when sack lunches/spending money are needed.

We're also in need of help from adult volunteers!  We welcome parents to join us as chaperones for one day, several days, or all week.
