As women, we are deeply in need of genuine connection with other women. We tend to stay so busy that this important element of our lives gets squeezed out far too easily. But time with each other is one of our lifelines. We need friends with whom we can laugh, cry, process life, study and serve others.
The Women's Ministry at Family of Christ wants to help create these types of opportunities for women of all ages, so we can walk hand in hand and grow together in our relationship with the Lord and with one another.
We may do this by engaging in powerful Bible studies or listening to wise and Godly speakers. We may "get away from it all" for a night of worship or spend time at a retreat, where we can be refreshed and renewed in His presence. We will open our homes to one another, drink coffee, pray for one another, and just be a listening ear when one of us is struggling. We want to be sisters...because, that's what we truly are in Christ!
Stay tuned for more upcoming Bible Studies and events! Here are a few that are happening now...
JEWELS Bible Study
This group of ladies meets in the Kitchenon Tuesday mornings from 9:00 - 11:00 am. Please Note: JEWELS will be taking off the months of July and August. They’ll resume meeting again on September 14.
They began a new 4-week study of Elijah on Tuesday, May 25, with selections from the Elijah devotions of Priscilla Shirer (Faith and Fire) & the series by her father, Dr. Tony Evans, presented on RightNowMedia.
Elijah: 4-Week Study with Priscilla Shirer & Dr. Tony Evans “Elijah showed up in Israel because the nation had lost sight of its first love. God sent His prophet to combat the idolatry that had taken worship away from its only rightful recipient. It may have different names and outlets today, but the same idolatry still plagues our world. Dr. Tony Evans teaches through the life of the prophet Elijah to encourage us toward faith, integrity, conviction, restoration, and commitment to God.”
Drop by as often as your schedule allows as they regularly review! Any ladies who choose not to meet in person are encouraged to join by phone, Zoom, etc.
