Next week, our Junior High students will once again embark on a week of serving others throughout the Colorado Springs and Denver areas!
We're working with various ministries and outreaches such as Lutheran Valley Retreat, M.A.T.A., Inner City School, The Arc, The Table at Bethlehem Lutheran, and more! Click HERE for the schedule of events.
Junior High Service Week is a great opportunity for our students to practice and learn how to serve others and share God's love.Throughout the week, these students will encounter a myriad of hands-on experiences where they will be challenged and blessed by being the hands and feet of Christ.
Students will meet at Family of Christ each morning and then travel in vans to the different locations where they will be serving.They will return to FOC each day around 5:00 pm.On Thursday evening, they will be at "The Table" in Arvada serving dinner to the homeless.They will arrive home after 9:00 pm that evening. Friday is designated as a fun day! The students will vote for a fun activity for the day. More details to come regarding times, locations, and when sack lunches/spending money are needed.
We're also in need of some extra help from adult volunteers, and we welcome parents to join us as chaperones for one day, several days, or all week. Just let us know if you're interested in volunteering!
COSTS
$125.00 for the full week - including Friday Fun Day! $85.00 for Monday through Thursday.
