One of the amazing Ministries that FOC supports is Lutheran Valley Retreat, affectionately known as “LVR”. Over the years all of our ministries - “Student, Children, Women, Men, and Family Ministries” have spent time at LVR and have grown to love the facility and staff that work there! 

As many of you know, LVR has been approved to include a gun range on their property, and they need our help as they move forward with this project. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities as well as equipment and materials needed. Please consider donating the use of the equipment or materials as well as going to LVR on August 29 to contribute to this important project. Please contact the Executive Director of LVR, Steve Johnson - if you are willing to donate any of the need items/equipment or are planning on volunteering in August. Equipment Needs
- Backhoe/front loaders ($4200/Month United rentals with delivery option)
- Skid steers (have one small BobCat) - as many as we can get
- Dump truck/dump trailers (have a dumb truck, but could use more) - at least 2 or 3 more

Volunteer Projects
- Fencing 
- Spreading Topsoil/Manure/Seed on Burms 
- Erosion Control on Burms 
- Rip Rap for Retention Pond

Donations
- 100 t-posts, 100 lbs.
- High altitude indigenous grass seeds 
- 1000 yds wire for fence (one large roll)
- 44,000 SF straw coconut blanket for shooting ganes; 25 rolls @$98/roll
- 2400 SF of excelsior blanket for ditch line; 3 rolls at $82/roll, 20 straw bales for ditch check dams, Rip Rap; 4 tons
- Straw Waddles 9"x 25' misc. $19/each; need at least 6 rolls and stakes to install them
